Cista mystica with serpent; all within ivy wreath / Two serpents entwined around bow and bowcase; above, MH above monogram (=prytaneis) flanked by N-O, civic monogram to left, serpent-entwined staff to right. Kleiner, Hoard 42; SNG BN 1745–6 var. (no N-O on rev.). Iridescent tone, light graffito in field on reverse. Good VF. |
