Isaac II Angelus. First reign, 1185-1195. Æ Aspron Trachy (30mm, 10.27 g, 6h). Contemporary imitation of the Constantinople mint. Theotokos enthroned facing, holding head of infant Christ on lap / [Isaac, holding cruciform scepter and akakia, being crowned by] St. Michael the Archangel, holding jeweled scepter. Cf. DOC 2a-c (for official issue); SB 2002 (same). Brown patina. Fine. Set in an intact contemporary (?) silver pendant.
