Zeal of the Fabians: the Fabian forces defiantly exiting Rome to engage Veii; dated year 275 (479 BC) in exergue / Recall of Cincinnatus (“From the Plow to the Dictatorship”): Cicinnatus, in the midst of plowing, is presented with the baton of command by the deputies of the Senate; dated year 294 (461 BC).
