The earliest of the four types of King’s Road Passes produced, rarely encountered well struck and in such good grade.

The King’s Private Road, originally built for Charles II, was built to carry Royal carriages between London and the palaces at Hampton Court. Beginning in the 1720s, members of the public were allowed limited access, provided they purchase a pass.
