Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (22mm, 4.60 g, 6h). ‘C’ mint. IMP C CARAVSIVS AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / PROVID E ΛVCCC, Providentia standing left, holding baton in right hand, cradling cornucopia in left arm; small globe to left below; S-P//C. RIC V 364; Bourne 122. Dark forest green patina. Superb EF. Well struck from fresh dies. An exceptional example.
