Elagabalus. AD 218-222. AR Denarius (18mm, 2.76 g, 5h). Uncertain eastern mint. Struck AD 218-219. ANTONINVS PIVS FELIX AVG, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / FELICITAS, galley under sail with seven oarsmen right, hortator and gubernator at stern; TEMP in exergue. RIC IV 188 var. (obv. legend); Thirion 348 var. (same); BMCRE 277 var. (same); RSC 27a var. (same). Toned, some flan flaws. Good VF. Rare obverse legend variety with FELIX spelled out.
