Laureate and draped of Zeus right; fillet border / Nike standing left, crowning royal name with wreath; all within laurel wreath. SC 1382.1 corr. (bust type); A. Houghton, “Bronze coins of Antiochus IV of Mallus” in SM 169 (February 1993), 4 corr. (same); HGC 9, 679 corr. (same). Dark green patina. VF. Very rare.

The bust type listed for this issue in SC was predicated upon the sole example cited in all the references (the Levante coin), which was off center on the obverse, obscuring the bust. In fact, the referenced coin for SC 1382.2, in SNG Copenhagen, also clearly has a laureate and draped bust.
