THRACE, Perinthus. Caracalla. AD 198-217. Æ Medallion (42mm, 38.37 g, 6h). Laureate and cuirassed bust right, holding spear over shoulder; gorgoneion on breastplate / Serapis standing left, holding uncertain object over flaming altar and scepter. Schönert, Perinthos 605; Varbanov 271/272 (obv./rev.). Earthen green and red-brown patina, patina chipped around the edge, roughness, light pitting, and light smoothing. Good Fine.
