Faustina Junior. Augusta, AD 147-175. Æ Sestertius (32.5mm, 27.47 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck under Marcus Aurelius and Commodus, AD 176 and later. Veiled and draped bust right / Faustina seated left, holding [phoenix on globe] and transverse scepter; to left, three signa on base. Cf. RIC III 1711 (Aurelius); cf, MIR 18, 49-6/19; cf. Banti 88. Dark green and red-brown patina, smoothed and incorrectly tooled, creating a reverse legend that does not exist for this issue. VF.
