ANGLO-SAXON, Pale Gold Phase. Circa 645-665/70. Pale AV Thrymsa (14mm, 1.30 g, 9h). ‘Cripsus’ or delaiona type. CBISPVO SoB CHES, bust right / Delaiona (in Runic) + CVBSVIN (both retrograde from bottom), latin cross with annulet terminals, X X flanking, within wreath; uncertain ornaments above and below. Sutherland 27 = SCBI 63 (BM), 21 (same dies); A&W Type V.xxxvi; Metcalf p. 44; MEC 8 table 3, 27; North –; SCBC 764. A few minor marks, light rub on cheek. Good VF. Very rare.
