Bedford mint; Ælfstan, moneyer. + EΛDPEΛRD REX Λ(ИG)L•, diademed bust left / + ÆLFSTΛN M–O BEDΛ, small cross pattée. SCBI –; EMC –; Hild. –; BMC 2 var. (pellets in rev. legend); North 763; SCBC 1142. A few light marks under dark iridescent ton. Near EF. Characterful portrait. Very rare.
