Late Hellenistic to Roman Imperial Period. Lot of two (2) Cast PB Steelyard Weights. Includes:
1) PHOENICIA, Tyre PB Quarter Libra (31x29x6mm, 51.70 g). Dated year 12 (115/4 BC). L B on raised surface; all within egg-and-dart frame / Tanit symbol over field of net pattern. CPAI –; cf. Qedar, Gewichte 5075; cf. Hendin, Ancient 286.
2) EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN/AEGEAN. PB 8 Drachms (37x40x4mm, 28.95 g). Uncertain symbol(s) within double quadrate frame / Large H. Cf. CPAI 288-91; Qedar, Gewichte 94; Hendin, Ancient 300. Gray patina. Fine to Near VF. Original suspension loop on second weight broken off.
