CELTIC, Iceni. Aesu. Circa AD 30-43(?). AR Unit (14mm, 1.23 g). Aesu type (Icenian N). Two opposed crescents with pellets between, superimposed upon band of three lines surrounded by two lines of pellets / Horse leaping right; six pellets on breast, pellet within pelleted annulet above, trefoil of pellets and AESV below. Allen, Coins 201; Van Arsdell 775; ABC 1702; SCBC 447. Iridescent toning. VF. Good metal for issue.

This type has been previously related to the Icenian king Prasutagus recorded by Tacitus, although Rudd disagrees, believing that individual to be Esuprasto, another late Icenian coin-issuer.
