ATTICA, Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. AR Tetradrachm (33mm, 16.73 g, 12h). New Style coinage. Struck 165-150/149 BC. Helmeted head of Athena Parthenos right / Owl standing right, head facing, on amphora; monogram in left field; to right, eagle standing right above monogram; Δ on amphora, ΣΦ below; all within wreath. Thompson 231c (same obv. die); HGC 4, 1602. Lightly toned, area of weak strike, flan flaw on reverse. VF.
