C. Norbanus. 83 BC. AR Denarius (21.5mm, 3.73 g, 3h). Rome mint. Diademed head of Venus right; XVIII behind / Fasces between grain ear on left and caduceus on right. Crawford 357/1b; Sydenham 739; Norbana 2; RBW 1363 var. (control number). Toned with areas of find patina, some marks and light scratches, obverse die breaks and struck off center. VF. One of the obverse die breaks extends beyond the pelleted border. Interesting.
