Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.06 g, 5h). Barbarous imitation. Bare head right / Augustus seated left on curule chair set on daïs, extending hand toward soldier,carrying parazonium and presenting laurel branch. Cf. RIC I 165 & 162b for reverse. Light golden toning, light roughness, a few deposits. VF.
