LVDOVICVS • XVIII FRANC • ET • NAV • REX, head right, with hair tied in ribbon / CANALES · VDIQVEVERSVM · EFFORSI, personification of Gemoetry standing right, holding t-square and compass, and personification of Navigation standing left, holding rudder, each gesturing towards a map of France inscribed GALLIA; between them, column surmounted by facing bust of Mercury; prow of ship and bale in background to right. Collignon 365. Brown surfaces with traces of iridescence, some spotting, old collection number 69-39 on reverse. EF.
