LEVANTINE REGION, Uncertain. Late 5th-early 4th century BC. AR Tetartemorion(?) (5.5mm, 0.21 g, 6h). Imitating Athens. Helmeted head of Athena right, with frontal eye / Owl standing right, head facing; olive spray to left; all within incuse square. Toned, deposits, some roughness on obverse, slightly off center and light cleaning marks on reverse. Near VF.

No tetartemoria of classical Athens used these types, and the style of this example is a bit crude, all suggesting this is an imitative issue. Fractions imitating Athenian types were prolific throughout the Levantine region, particularly in the areas along the southern Mediterranean coast.
