In the name of Alexander III of Macedon. Alexandreia mint. Struck circa 306-300 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, wearing elephant skin, aegis around neck with [tiny d in scales] / Athena Alkidemos advancing right, brandishing spear in right hand and wearing shield on extended left arm; monogram to inner left; to right, two monograms and eagle standing right on thunderbolt. CPE 59; Svoronos 146; Zervos Issue 22, dies 333/c; SNG Copenhagen 18. Lightly toned, numerous scratches and graffiti, some smoothing on obverse, small dig and horn silver on reverse. VF.
