Draped bust of Mercury right, wearing winged petasus; • • (mark of value) above / Prow of galley right; ROMA above; • • (mark of value) to either side of L. Crawford 97/14; Sydenham 128; RBW 409. Brown patina with touches of red, some minor porosity. Near VF. Rare.

This sextans was struck in the city of Luceria and is from the first (and only, contra RRC) weight reduction phase for struck bronzes from Luceria itself. [Andrew McCabe]
