Gerhard Hirsch was interned at Theresienstadt and Auschwitz concentration camps, but he survived in relatively good health and returned to Munich in 1945, and after a period of working in the Justice Ministry he opened a new coin business there in 1953.’ This continues as Gerard Hirsch Nachf. to the present day...”
