Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AVAureus (19.5mm, 7.82 g, 6h). Uncertain Spanish mint (Colonia Patricia?). Struck circa 18 BC. CAESARI AVGVSTO, laureate head right / S • P • Q • R across field, tetrastyle temple with domed roof and acroteria set on podium of three steps; within, triumphal currus right, containing aquila and four miniature horses galloping right. RIC I 118; Calicó 283; BMCRE 384 = BMCRR Rome 4422; BN 1209; Biaggi 141; UBS 78, lot 1316 (same dies). Flan a little irregular, small obverse die break, minor marks, a couple edge scuffs. VF. Very rare.
