CRETE, Kydonia. Circa 320-270 BC. AR Stater (23mm, 11.18 g, 12h). Obverse die signed by the artist Neuantos. Head of maenad right, wearing wreath of ivy and solar disc earring with crescent and three drops; NEY[ANTOΣ]/[EΠOEI] (= Neuantos made [this]) in two lines behind neck / Kydon standing left, stringing bow; KYΔ[ΩN] to right; all in pellet border within shallow circular incuse.
