Dually dated 1854 and 1954 (though issued 1954/5-1965). * CONMEMORACION * DE * LA * HEROICA * DEFENSE * DE * GUAYMAS, coat-of-arms; 1854 1954 flanking / Ship under sail left along coast; above, female personification crowning bust of Generaly Yáñez facing slightly left; allover wreath of oak and olive branches. Grove 647b. Dark brown surfaces. EF.

On 1 July 1854, soldiers under the command of General Yáñez succsfully defended Guaymas, Sonora against an attacking force of 400 French and German invaders.
