PHILISTIA (PALESTINE), Uncertain mint. Mid 5th century-333 BC. AR Drachm (13mm, 3.83 g, 8h). Imitating Athens. Helmeted head of Athena right, with profile eye; on her helmet, a second profile eye, looking upward, which, in combination with the crest and visor of Athena, forms a second face / Owl standing right, head facing; olive spray and crescent behind. Cf. Gitler & Tal X.1D (for drachm with a single profile eye); HGC 10, –; CNG 82, lot 737 (same dies). Toned, weak obverse strike. VF. Extremely rare.
