KINGS of MACEDON. Antigonos I Monophthalmos. As Strategos of Asia, 320-306/5 BC. AR Tetradrachm (24.5mm, 17.08 g, 7h). In the name and types of Alexander III. Sardes mint. Struck circa 318-315 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; monogram-in-circle in left field, monogram below throne, amphora in right field. Price 2674; ADM I Series XX (but this variety with amphora to right not noted). Lightly toned, a little off center. VF. Extremely rare, only two in Pella, none in CoinArchives.
