KINGS of MACEDON. Demetrios I Poliorketes. 306-283 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 17.26 g, 9h). In the name and types of Alexander III. Corinth mint. Struck circa 304/3-290 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left on throne decorated with Nikai; in left field, Demeter standing left, holding patera and cornucopia; EXE below throne. Price 693; Noe, Sicyon 36 var. (A74/P143 [unlisted die combination]). Lightly toned, struck with worn obverse die, area of flat strike on reverse. EF. Very rare, six noted by Noe, one additional in Pella, two in CoinArchives (including the present coin).
