THESSALY, Gyrton. Early 330s BC. AR Hemidrachm (13mm, 2.76 g, 6h). Head of the nymph Gyrtone facing slightly left, hair bound in ribbon / Horse standing right, preparing to lie down. Burrer, Hemidrachmen, 12.2 (A4/R8 – this coin, illustrated); BCD Thessaly II 77 (same dies; hammer $11000); HGC 4, 359. Toned, porous, double struck on reverse. Near VF. Very rare silver issue from Gyrton.
