Numerous countermarks on an Æ 2 Tarì of Jean de Valette (1556-1568): head of John the Baptist (Edict of 19 April 1662), crowned lis (Edict of 17 August 1696), crowned crescent (Edict of 31 January 1741) . Gatt p. xix. Host Fair, countermarks Fair to VF. The last countermark applied so hard as to puncture the flan.
