Otho. AD 69. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.37 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck 9 March-mid April. IMP OTH[O CAES]AR AVG TR P, Bare head right / [PON]T MAX, Ceres standing left, holding two grain ears and cornucopia. RIC I 20 (Aureus) note; Muona Group 3, Type 12B; RSC 11. Toned, a couple of short edge splits, some shallow cleaning scratches under tone. Near VF. Muona states that this is “the most frequently seen PONT MAX type”.
