Struck in the name of Cnut, 1040-1042. Diademed bust left, holding trefoil-tipped scepter / + SPEGEN ONN EOFERD, quadrilateral, with pellet in center and angles, over voided short cross. SCBI 40 (Stockholm), 2030 (same rev. die); North 799; SCBC 1169. Die flaw on scepter otherwise much as struck with some luster. EF. Rare.

Arm-and-Sceptre coins of York are only known in the name of Cnut.
