Confronted busts of Julia Domna, draped, and Septimius Severus, radiate and draped / Apollo standing right at lighted altar, facing Dionysus standing left, holding thrysus, at feet to left, panther standing left, head right. Cf. Franke & Nollé 623 (for example from different dies, possibly a different magistrate). Brown patina, light roughness. Fine. Extremely rare, only one cited by Franke & Nollé. |
