Romanus IV Diogenes. 1068-1071. Æ Follis (25mm, 5.56 g, 6h). Contemporary Bulgarian imitation. Bust of Chris facing, cross behind head, wearing pallium and colobium, holding book of Gospels; in field, IC-XC/NI-KA / Cross with globus and two pellets at each end; X at center; in the angles, C-R/P-∆. Youroukova & Penchev 153a-b; cf. DOC 8; SB 1866 for prototype. Dark green patina, some cleaning marks and scratches. VF.
