CYPRUS, Kition. Pumiathon. Circa 362/1-312 BC. AR Drachm (16mm, 4.31 g, 12h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Struck circa 325-320 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; KT monogram in left field. Zapiti & Michaelidou –; Price 3109; Newell, Some 9. Toned, minor die break on obverse. Good VF. Extremely rare denomination, two in Pella database (in the ANS and BN), this is the sole example in CoinArchives (Pella and CA contain other coins, but they are tetradrachms erroneously attributed as Price 3109).
