Hadrian. AD 117-138. Æ Sestertius (33mm, 28.24 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck AD 118. Laureate bust right with bare chest, slight drapery on far shoulder / LIBERALITAS AVG/ S C in two lines in exergue, Hadrian seated left on sella castrensis set on daïs, extending his right hand, attending to the distribution made by an officer, who is seated, to a citizen mounting steps up to it; Liberalitas standing left, holding tessera. RIC II.3 163. Dark brown patina with tan highlights. In NGC encapsulation 5872729-099, graded VF, Strike: 5/5, Surface: 3/5.
