Bearded head right, wearing diadem and kyrbasia adorned with eagle / Fire temple of Ahura-Mazda; above, half-figure of Ahura-Mazda; to left, Vādfradād standing right, trace of bow before; to right, eagle standing left on standard; retrograde prt[rk’] zy = “frat[arakā] zy” in Aramaic in exergue; retrograde wtprdt = “Vādfradād” in Aramaic to outer left. K&M 3/1 var. (no legend on rev.); cf. DeMorgan, pl. XXVIII, 8 = De Luynes 3518 (Prince A; same obv. die); Sunrise –; MACW –; Triton XXII, lot 442 (same dies). Light iridescent toning. Good VF.
