MULLER/ MEMPHIS, TENN/ IMPRVD/ SPECTACLE/ MANUFACTURER countermarked on an 1853 O Half Dollar. Ophthalmologia XII.5 (this token); Brunk M-972 var. (no BRO); Rulau Tn-ME 33-4 var. (same). Toned. Host Good Fine, c/m VF. An interesting type for a countermarked coin as the 1853-O Arrows and Rays half dollar type is itself a very collectible coin..
