KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’. 336-323 BC. Fourrée Tetradrachm (28mm, 16.16 g, 10h). Imitating Babylon mint issue struck under Stamenes or Archon, circa 324/3 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; M in left field, monogram below throne. For prototype: cf. Price 3602. Toned, plating broken in areas, some scratches on obverse. VF.
