ELECTROTYPES, SICILY. Uncertain Punic military mint. Circa 320-310 BC. Electrotype (26mm, 12.08 g, 12h). British Museum electrotype ([MB] on reverse). Uncertain female head to left (Dido or more probably Tanit), wearing a necklace and a Phrygian cap that is encircled with a band embroidered with palmettes and tied above her forehead / Lion walking to left, head facing front; behind, date palm; š’mmḥnt (= people of the camp) in Punic in exergue. Head, Guide Period III C, 40 (Carthage). As made.
