Laureate head of Nero right vis-à-vis diademed and draped bust of Poppaea left / Turreted and draped bust of Roma right; [bee below]. RPC I 2629 var. (Poppaea on left and Nero on right); RPC Suppl. II, p. 49; Karwiese, Die Münzprägung von Ephesos, Vol. 5, 84 (V20/R43). Dark green and brown patina, rough and pitted surfaces, flan crack, edge chip. Near VF. Extremely rare variety, Karweise cites only two specimens.
