Anonymous issues. 1st-3rd centuries AD. PB Tessera (13mm, 1.13 g, 12h). Elephant advancing right, guided by mahout holding goad / AVG. Rostowzew 636; Overbeck, München 125; Overbeck, Milano 101. Gray surfaces with deposits. Fine.

The reverse legend may bear the initials of the issuer’s tria nomina, as do many of the other Roman tesserae. Or more interestingly, it could attest to some relation to the Imperial household or an Imperial triumph.
