Crawford 544/24; CRI 361; Sydenham 1228; RSC 38; RBW -. Reverse slightly off center, banker’s mark, flan flaw. In NGC encapsulation 5772051-003, graded Ch VF, Strike: 4/5, Surface 3/5, brushed.

Of Roman legionary designations, Legion X is perhaps the most famous. It was the favourite of Julius Caesar in the conquest of Gaul, serving at times as his personal bodyguard and played a key role in the Civil Wars against Pompey, including the decisive battle of Munda in 45 BC.
