JUDAEA, Bar Kochba Revolt. 132-135 CE. AR Zuz – Denarius (19mm, 3.42 g, 6h). Undated, attributed to year 3 (134/5 CE). Grape bunch on vine tendril; “Shim’on’” (in Hebrew) around / Elongated kithara; “For the freedom of Jerusalem” (in Hebrew) around. Mildenberg 216.7 (O24/R139) = Bromberg 540 (this coin); Meshorer 275 (same obv. die as illustration); Hendin 6462; Shoshana I 20497 (same dies); Sofaer 129 (same obv. die); Spaer 223–4. Lightly toned, overstruck on an uncertain denarius of Trajan. Good VF.
