HANOVER. George III. 1760-1820. CU Pattern Dollar of Five Shillings and Sixpence (42mm, 32..78 g, 6h). Bank of England issue, Type K/5a. Dated 1811. GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA REX., laureate and draped bust left; (star) · (star) on truncation of bust / BANK/TOKEN/5S. 6D./1811 in four lines; all within oak wreath; I · P · below tie. Davis 37; cf. L&S 129-130; ESC 206. Most attractively toned with traces of underlying red. In NGC encapsulation, 4740160-006, graded PF 65 BN.
