Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Pontiff driving yoke of oxen right, plowing pomerium; in background, four standards inscribed III, VI, X, and XII. Kadman, Akko 101-3; RPC III 3912; Rosenberger 48; Sofaer 137-138. Black patina with red earthen highlights. Good VF. Higher grade than any found at CoinArchives.

RPC notes the founder on the reverse is Claudius who settled veterans of his legions in the city as well as in the neighboring cities of Berytus, Aelia Capitolina, and Caesarea Maritima, as is alluded to by the banners behind the oxen, each representing the legions retiring there.
