The Triumvirs. Mark Antony and Octavian. Autumn 41 BC. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.71 g, 2h). Military mint traveling with Antony in Syria(?). Bare head of Antony right / Bare head of Octavian right. Crawford 528/3; CRI 251; Sydenham 1194; RSC 2. VF, attractively toned, obverse graffiti and bankers’ marks on Antony’s face, S-shaped bankers mark in reverse field.

From the Ken Bressett Collection. Purchased from Walter Sheridan in 2003 for @ $200.
