ROMAN. Lot of two (2) terracotta oil lamp fragments with stamps of Solidi on them. 5th century AD. (5 cm and 6.5 cm). From an orangeware terra sigillata oil lamp. Top of lamp encircled with edge stamps resembling AV Solidi of Theodosius II, both the obverse, with emperor facing, holding spear over shoulder and shield, and the reverse, with Victory holding long cross. Light from the Age of Augustine 82-85 for examples of coins being used as impressions on redware. Some chips to fragments. Interesting coin-related items. Two (2) items in lot.
