Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.06 g, 5h). Rome mint. Struck AD 209. Laureate head right / Severus on horse rearing left, preparing to hurl spear at foe on ground to lower left. RIC IV 231; RSC 536. Light iridescent tone, some underlying luster, short flan crack. Good VF.
