Ras Shamra 3 and 8 (same dies); Demanhur 50–1; HPM pl. XVII, 10/3 (for obv. die./rev. type); AMNG III/2, –; cf. SNG ANS 1010; CNG 106, lot 110 (same dies). Toned, granular surfaces, struck from worn dies. VF. Very rare.
C. M. Kraay suggested that this coinage is an early issue at Akanthos (ACGC, pp. 133–4), but K. Liampi disagrees, suggesting they are Euboian standard hemistaters issued at Stageira (Liampi p. 237).
