PHILISTIA (PALESTINE), Askalon. Mid 5th century-333 BC. AR Obol (10.5mm, 0.68 g, 10h). Head of female right / Owl standing right, head facing; olive spray to left, ’AN (in Aramaic) to right. Gitler & Tal III.10O. Lightly toned, some scratches, die break on reverse. VF. Exceptional for issue, better than the five illustrated in Gitler & Tal. Very rare.
